All sorts of stuff!

I checked out the paperwork that came with the car… its got some great history with it. Not only is the original owner’s details on the sales receipt, but its been handwritten on a slip of paper, so I think I’ll send Frau G¸llmar a letter and see if she still lives in the Potsdam district of Berlin.

The paperwork includes: the Fahrzeugbrief (logbook) from the DDR as the car was sold before they all got re-registered as ‘West’ German cars, the owners manual, the Zulassungsschein, which appears to be some sort of document you hand to anyone of authority who asks to see it (its very dog eared, so looks like it was asked for alot!), vehicle tax and insurance card and its exhaust emissions certificates (how to test a 2 stroke is beyond me!)

The boot is a treasure trove of original stuff… the jack and wheelbrace, a warning triangle, footpump and first aid kit that looks past its best.
